When Gladys reached out to me to photograph her and Rommel’s wedding, I could not have been happier! I was just getting started into weddings, which is VERY hard to do. I eventually got to shoot at other weddings before their wedding, but they were my first booked clients, so this wedding holds a special place in my heart. I am always so thankful when my clients trust me with their wedding day. It can be so intimidating, no matter how many weddings you do, but the end results make it so worth it!
Their wedding started off with the ladies getting ready in their home. I could tell this would be a fun group of girls from the start! We moved from there to the Manassas Battlefield to do portraits. It was so sunny outside, and I was honestly a little worried about the lighting because it was so bright! However, I applied the skills I KNEW that I had and got so many beautiful portraits.
Their ceremony was held at the Social Soiree in Manassas and can I just say, this venue goes OUT with their décor! Every corner was so well executed and perfectly decorated. Now, Gladys and Rommel come from a Spanish speaking background, so their ceremony was in Spanish. Did I understand a word? No. But did I get my normal teary eyed self during the vows? ABSOLUTLEY! The soft music in the background did not help the situation, LOL!
The food was delicious, the dancing was so much fun, and overall, the day was stunning. So thankful for this couple trusting me with their special day.
